It has a sedative effect on the nervous system. There is evidence that it may have anti-tumor activities.
Other uses:
St. Vitus' dance, epilepsy, convulsions, to stop menstrual flow, circulation, asthma, arthritis, tonic, nervous tension, gallbladder problems, spleen, hysteria, intestines and healing to ulcerated conditions. Also good for breast cancer, HIV and diabetes.

Antispasmodic; Cardiac; Cytostatic; Diuretic; Emetic; Emmenagogue; Hypotensive; Narcotic; Nervine; Stimulant; Tonic; Vasodilator.
